Getting to Moundros & Kollita Twin Gorges

The map locates eastern Moundros Gorge; Poros, also associated with Vilandredo, lies to the west. Combining both needs an established connecting path and return. Choose the starting point for your specific walk and check water and trail conditions.

More about this place

The Kollita gorges near Moundros form two neighbouring ravines in the Rethymno hinterland. The eastern gorge is associated with Moundros and the western one with Vilandredo. The name alone does not define a circular walking route.

Choose a specific outing only after confirming the entry, route and return. Combining both gorges needs more planning than a short stroll. Water, rocky ground and daylight matter; in rain or with unresolved passages, a village visit is the more sensible choice.
