CRETE UNSEEN decision

How this place fits into a Crete day

Choose Cavo Bianco when you want Ammoudi's striking cliffs with an organised beach afternoon. The club is part of the experience; it should not be confused with the public beach or a traditional village taverna.

More about this place

Ammoudi's pale cliffs set the scene; Cavo Bianco brings the organised side of a beach day, with loungers, drinks, food and music on selected dates. If you want more comfort between Makry Gialos and Goudouras, it offers a different pace from the undeveloped pebbly coves farther east.

The distinction matters: Ammoudi, also known as Dragon's Beach, is the cove. Cavo Bianco is the beach club operating there. Public beach access, a dip in the sea and a paid spot with the beach club are separate things. Prices, reservations, opening times and music schedules can change; check current operations before counting on a meal or a lounger.

The regular access road leads towards a reported gravel car park, followed by a walk to the club. The parking position is not yet confirmed as a reliable arrival point. Park only where permitted and follow local signs. Suitable sea conditions remain essential for swimming, regardless of the facilities.
